you do what you gotta do!

Sometimes you just gotta figure out how to get comfy…

growing in grace

I have been reminded lately that each day is another opportunity to continue to grow in grace. I love Peter's words in 2 Peter…

To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if any of you do not have them, you are nearsighted and blind, and you have forgotten that you have been cleansed from your past sins.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What powerful promises and incredibly bold statements!  Somehow, though, I choose to forget them more often than remember them and live my life in timidity and fear of what the world has for me.  Today, though, I am remembering the grace of God…His hand in my life…His calling and election…and am going to add to my faith.

taking a moment to remember Kyiv

A year ago, we were getting ready to leave Kyiv after an amazing few days with the Passion World Tour.

Louie Giglio remembers better than I, I'm sure…and Jeremy Cowart's pictures are also better than mine.  :O)

But, if you want to read my words, here is my blog from after the tour last year.

Thanks for being a part of the journey with me (us)…
